Clapboardtree Nursery School is governed by a parent board. Day-to-day operations of the school are handled by the Director. Each teacher holds a college degree, is certified in CPR and First Aid, and is a certified Early Childhood Educator.

CNS Staff 

               Kris Blue - Director

 
Kris is serving her second year as Director but has been an assistant teacher and/or literacy specialist for CNS for 10 years.  Kris’ previous employment includes teaching kindergarten in Westwood for 10 years.  She has two master’s degrees in reading and children’s literature as well as a BA in Early Childhood Education.

 
           Brita Gleason - Lead Teacher, Extended morning class

 
Brita has been a lead teacher at CNS for 15 years.  She has an additional 13 years experience as a preschool teacher and 3 years experience as a director.  Brita has a BS in Education.

 
           Nancy Isberg - Lead Teacher, afternoon class

 
Nancy has been a lead teacher at CNS for 10 years.  Nancy has a BS in Education and an Associates in Early Childhood Education.  She previously taught kindergarten.

 
          Patty Regan - Teacher’s Aide

 
Patty has been working at CNS for 7 years.  She assists the Director and teachers in a cooperative/team effort in carrying out the educational programs of the school.

 
           Louise Sennott - Lead Teacher, Extended morning class

 
Louise has been at CNS for 9 years.  In addition, Louise owned and ran her own daycare for 8 years.  She has a BS in Business and Fashion Merchandising.

 
           Maura Vitiello - Teacher’s Assistant, afternoon class

Maura has been at CNS for 4 years.  She holds a BA in Elementary Education.

 
           Deidre Wray - Lead Teacher

 
Deidre has been at CNS for 11 years as a lead teacher and formerly the director.  Deidre was involved with the Westwood Early Childhood Preschool Network and the Westwood Early Childhood Council for 9 years.  She has a BS in Biology.  She has various certifications from the Massachusetts Department of Education.

               Elizabeth Gutterson - Assistant Teacher, AM Class

 
Elizabeth started working as an assistant teacher at Clapboardtree in 2001.  She spent a few years in 2008-10 working at the Cotting School and helping a family with physically challenged children. We are thrilled to have her back. Elizabeth has a BA in Psychology with a focus on children.

               Eileen Burke- Teacher’s Assistant for PM Class (Short Wednesdays)

 
Eileen has been working at our school as an assistant and a substitute since 2007. Previous to that she was a Kindergarten Assistant in the Westwood Public Schools.
